For Homeowners

If you’ve assumed that a sand mound is your only option, whether because of cost or regulation, think again. We’ll give you all the information you need to make a good decision.

We are amazed at the massive amount of misinformation that exists in the on-lot septic industry. If you as the homeowner don’t educate yourself, others in the process will make decisions that you’ll end up living with.

Let Expert Septic educate you on ALL the options you have, and what the relative costs will be.

Are We Approved?

All the systems we work with have been approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. Sadly, many folks in our industry do not stay up to speed with changes in the regulations—and often you as the home or property owner will not be given all your options or will simply be told “no.” Contact us so we can educate you on ALL the options that you are entitled to use.

How Do I Avoid Getting a Sand Mound?

If you don’t want a sand mound, please contact us. If possible, have the following information ready:

  • What county do you live in?
  • What is your perc rate?
  • What is the depth to the limiting zone?
  • What is the slope on the property?
  • Are you building a new home or is it a repair situation?
  • Do you have a design done?
  • Who is your Sewage Enforcement Officer?

Don’t worry if you don’t have this information. Give us a call anyway and we can help you obtain it. After we hear from you, we can come take a look at your property.

Why Call Expert Septic First?

If you start by contacting others (e.g., your builder, excavator, or SEO), you are more likely to get directed back to a sand mound or to receive misinformation. Expert Septic can reach out to the company or contractors you’re already working with to provide the correct information, or we can connect you to someone local. We work state-wide with a great network of designers and installers.
